Ralph de Lange (1962 – Heiloo, Netherlands). Artist in painting since 1986. Working on large scale paintings, autonomous photography, drawing, digital prints andinstallations. Combining photography, collages and painting in a researchbetween movie, real life and the question of desire by humanbeing. A world without the means of time but captured in time.

Power is one of the subjects where the art of Ralph de Lange relates to, it’s especially recognizable when it’s portrayed vulnerable. The underlying motive for his art is our search for unity. A desire for an ideal world in which we can experience our dreamswithin reality. The symbolic landscapes are the promise of a life of abundance.The undercurrent is that of a nature that has past or is still in our memories. This art work questions history and future, reality and dreams, human condition wandering through nature to give meaning trough images we choose in life.
