Hans Verbeek (1959) is a Dutch painter, illustrator and graphic designer.

Since 1980 he has taken classes in model and portrait drawing and painting. In 2010 he decided to focus on fine art and since he has mainly drawn and painted portraits, although he remains active as an illustrator. Portraits in oil and pencil have been commissioned in both the Netherlands and abroad.

The “Comestibles” project has inspired Hans Verbeek to continue exploring this particular person - in his family context - for his forthcoming exhibition later this year in Alphen aan den Rijn.
